Uterine fibroids, also called myomas, are actually quite common. Women are often not even aware that they have them, and only an exam like an ultrasound may reveal that a fibroid is present. Many fibroids remain small and may never cause any problems at all.
But that’s not always the case. Bigger fibroids can make their presence felt in many ways, and sometimes surgery is necessary to remove them.
The most common symptoms are:
- heavy periods
- prolonged periods with considerable blood loss
- pain or pressure in the abdomen
- increased need to urinate
- backache
- constipation
- difficulty conceiving
- possibly spotting between periods
If there is a diagnosis of one or more uterine fibroids which are causing problems, women may be advised to have surgery to remove them. However, not everybody chooses surgery straight away and some women look for a natural alternative first, keeping the option of surgery as a last resort. Or, you may have fibroids that are causing you discomfort but surgery is not considered necessary yet.
This is where homeopathy can come in. It is a wonderful therapy for women’s problems, tried and tested for the past 200 years. Each case in homeopathy needs to be assessed individually, with the exact physical symptoms taken into consideration, while also including the general personality traits and physical make-up of the person seeking help. There isn’t one particular homeopathic remedy for one specific condition, the treatment is always holistic, tailored to you.
With gynaecological problems, homeopathy really shines!
